Privacy Policy

This policy explains what JusFriendz collects, why, and the choices you have.

What we collect

• Account details: your email, first name, date of birth (to confirm you're 18+) and a securely hashed password. We never store your password in plain text.
• Messages: what you say or type to a friend is sent to our AI providers to generate a reply. Your chat history and each friend's memory of you are stored on your device.
• Camera and microphone: used only during calls. Speech is turned into text by your phone's speech service (for example, Google on most Android phones). If you turn on "let them see me", still frames from your camera are sent to our AI provider so your friend can respond to what it sees. We don't record calls.
• Usage counts: how many messages you send each day, so we can apply plan limits.
• Payments: handled by Stripe. We receive your subscription status and billing email, never your full card number.
• Basic technical data: IP address, used to prevent abuse (for example, limiting sign-ups and login attempts).

Who we share it with

Only the service providers that run JusFriendz: Cloudflare (hosting and database), our AI providers (such as Groq and Google Gemini) to generate replies, and Stripe for payments. We do not sell your personal information or use it for advertising.

How long we keep it

We keep your account data while your account is open. Ask us to delete your account and we'll erase your account details within 30 days, except records we must keep for tax or legal reasons (such as payment records held by Stripe).

Your choices

You can ask to see, correct or delete your data at any time by emailing us. You can erase chats and memories on your device from the app's Settings.

Children

JusFriendz is only for adults 18 and over. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone younger; if we learn we have, we delete it.

Security

Connections are encrypted (HTTPS), passwords are hashed, and access to our systems is restricted. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a password you don't use anywhere else.
